Renovation of this 100 square meter duplex in the center of Marseille, France, was carried out by architects from T3 Architecture. The central part of the apartment had to be completely restructured to make the space brighter and more functional. The entrance area now has double height, creating a visual connection between the different rooms on two floors. Glass floors and railings enhance the sense of volume and allow natural light to flow into the interior. The impressive ceiling in the main bedroom was restored, and designers added a narrow glazed opening in the concrete wall to make it visible. A small bathroom was installed on the upper floor next to the second bedroom. Its triangular shape leaves a free zone where the lounge area is located. The living room and kitchen are on the lower level with access to the terrace and garden.
