Favre Ridge by Fuse Architecture
Fuse Architecture designed a beautiful modern home in Santa Cruz, California to capture the stunning mountain views of Santa Cruz. Additionally, the project aims to bring in as much natural light as possible, according to client requests. In this aspect, it resembles the 41 House project by the same studio.

This Los Gatos home was designed to capture the breathtaking mountain views of Santa Cruz, as it sits sheltered on the southern slope. Clients wanted to fill the home with natural light, where the existing house had low overhangs on the south side that limited views and natural light.
Owners wanted to ensure their home required no exterior maintenance, so we selected Swiss Pearl, fiber cement panels using a rain screen system that keeps the house cooler in summer and provides a breathable barrier between the cladding and waterproofing. This system requires no maintenance, painting or coating—just dust it off when needed—an ideal choice for a harsh mountain climate.
