5 REASONS TO TAKE A LOUNGER WITH YOU THIS SUMMER
HOW TO PROPERLY MAINTAIN A LOUNGER SO IT LASTS LONG?
- Maintenance of the wooden frame
For all types of wood, remember to wipe down the lounger frame if it's wet (water exposure from a pool, rain, etc.). If the lounger is made of teak wood, after cleaning apply 2–3 layers of teak oil to preserve its original color. Over time, teak begins to fade.
If the frame is made of eucalyptus, use linseed oil for wood nourishment. If the wood is already dirty, use camphor on a clean cloth.
- Maintenance of the fabric
There are two options. The first — your fabric is removable, then simply wash it at 30°C. The second option — the fabric is not removable. Then you need to wash it yourself with a mixture of water and soap + brush. You can simply rinse and air dry. Do not dry the lounger in the sun — colors may fade.
A lounger is not a garden item that can be left outside in winter. It won't withstand it. So you need to find a place for storage at the end of the season — garage or storeroom. Before storing for several months, don't forget to wipe the wood and clean the fabric.
