Perfectly suited for caring for laundry and storing all cleaning supplies, a washing room that combines a washing machine, dryer, clothing dryer, detergents and household products should be designed to fit efficiently in a spacious home—such as a living area with limited space. Individual furniture and economical solutions are often very convenient for better organization of this space.

Discover 4 smart washing room designs that combine functionality and exemplary design.

1. Minimalist Design Washing Area

In this 150 sq. m family apartment, the interior design agency chose a warm and refined finish for the washing area, combining apricot-green cabinetry and light wooden countertops.

A long storage line, fully custom-made, holds laundry detergents, bedding and accessories. To the left of the dryer, a full-height column can store a vacuum cleaner and ironing board.

2. Multi-functional Room: Washing Room and Storage

In this formerly dark and quirky room, the interior designer presented a washing room that also serves as a wardrobe and office space for a family with three children. In this room with a modern and uncluttered atmosphere, a low cabinet by the window provides storage for laundry supplies and a dirty laundry basket. Above it are shelves with several items and plants. To the right is tall furniture occupying the full height, with a washing machine installed at the bottom and a clean laundry basket.

3. Washing Room in Modern Bathroom

In this modern bathroom, the interior designer optimized storage to create a compact and smart washing area. The integrated washing machine under the sink is accompanied by a large cabinet, which stores the dryer and shelves for laundry supplies. Wall-mounted blocks provide additional space for bedding and cosmetics.

A convenient black metal rack also serves as a clothes hanger for wet laundry. To avoid overcrowding the space, the owner chose white cabinets at the top. To add warmth to the atmosphere, a light wooden countertop harmonizes with an elegant pale pink console.

4. Optimized XXS Space in a Washing Room

This 38 sq. m studio was completely renovated. Optimizing every corner became the designer's task, successfully placing a smart washing area in this limited-space living space. A sliding door saves space by separating the room from the bathroom.

The washing machine is installed above a series of custom-made shelves, allowing storage for bedding and the owner's clothes. They extend to the adjacent wall with less depth, maximizing storage space.
