How to Organize Storage in a Small Apartment: 8 Ideas

If you feel like there's no space for storage at home, take a look at these examples. The smallest apartment size is 28 square meters. And this doesn't hinder its functionality at all.

Make Cabinets Up to the Ceiling

Apartment Area: 29 sq. m

To fully utilize the height of the space and accommodate all necessary items, designer Anastasia Kapachinskikh decided to make cabinets up to the ceiling. It would have been meaningless to leave free space where nothing is usually stored and dust accumulates.

Paint Them to Match the Walls

Use Mirrored Doors

Apartment Area: 35 sq. m

A full-depth cabinet didn't fit in this apartment, so designers from One Line Design replaced it with a narrow storage system with mirrored doors, which also expanded the space in the narrow hallway.

Hide the Kitchen in a Cabinet

Use a Furniture-Transformer

Apartment Area: 28 sq. m

Instead of a full-size bed, designer Daria Nazarenko provided a sleeper-transformer. A deep and spacious cabinet complements the pull-out sofa with storage drawers.

Or a Platform

Designers Julia Shmidt and Alexandra Taranova used a platform with many doors for storage. Even a surfboard was placed under the bed.
