Micro-Dacha Cottage 30 m², Where Everything Fits In
A small cottage with red tiles and wooden facades in brick color is located in a picturesque place on the island of Iceland. Let's take a look inside?
This cottage by the water was built by designer Catherine Haltgren and her husband Joakim Andersson in a scenic spot on the island of Iceland.
The elongated cottage with red tiles and wooden facades in brick color attracts attention in a lush green setting. Inside, the space is divided into small zones: kitchen-living room, bedroom, bathroom, and another sleeping area under the roof.

The furniture and decor were chosen by the couple themselves — these are design models that you won’t find in ordinary dacha settings. But in this cottage, they look very harmonious and cozy!

Lush green vegetation and a small beach on the property naturally inspired the creation of an open terrace with wicker furniture — offering a wonderful view over the bay and a wooden bridge with a cozy bench. Here, you can spend all day long, and in summer, swim and fish.

The cottage is nestled in greenery and surrounded by a fruit garden. Here, you can relax in the shade of trees, organize picnics, and swing on hanging swings. The couple also built a small wooden sauna on the plot.
It turned out to be a very heartwarming place. Perhaps, exactly in such corners, one wants to escape and spend time alone with nature!
