An important aspect of any interior design is lighting. In this project, designer placed a strong emphasis not only on light fixtures but also on lighting scenarios. Since the client is an entrepreneur, he needed a home where he could forget about work and relax peacefully.

Client and Preferences

The project client is a single, active entrepreneur who enjoys traveling and cars. He is a modern and dynamic person.

In his future home, he wanted a bright, contemporary interior with a warm color palette that is not overloaded with details.

Layout

No major reconfiguration was done. The existing bathroom "box" was demolished, but new walls were built almost in the same place as the old ones. The window opening to the balcony was made all the way to the floor, that is, the window sill block was removed and a sliding glass unit was installed.

Storage

We created two storage systems in the apartment. A large wardrobe with sliding doors spanning the entire wall was placed in the main room. Its length is approximately 3.4 meters, and its height reaches the ceiling. Besides the main storage space, it also conceals a small docking station. From this station, images are transmitted to the television and sound is sent to audio speakers in the kitchen and bathroom.

The second small storage system is located in the hallway — it's a shallow cabinet about 45 centimeters deep. It stores seasonal footwear and clothing.

Lighting

For lighting, we managed to create an unconventional solution. There is no traditional central ceiling light in the living room — its role is played by a square formed by built-in ceiling backlighting. The same backlighting highlights the relief gypsum panels on the walls. It serves as general lighting since LED strip lights are built into it. There are also spotlights in the living room — Delta Light fixtures. Three spotlights with directed light illuminate 3D panels, while three additional double spotlights light the storage area. If only the spotlights are turned on, the lighting is dimmed.

On the kitchen and hallway there are built-in light profiles from Delta Light that provide general lighting. There are also rotatable spotlights from the same brand, which cast hard directional light onto the wall finished with decorative brick. This light emphasizes the expressive texture of the wall. The accent in the kitchen became the Bond sphere lights from Terzani above the bar counter, which illuminate its surface and serve as an excellent decorative element. All lighting was purchased in Russia from dealers.

Color

The overall color scheme is quite minimalist. The warm pastel beige tone was chosen as the base. Part of the kitchen, hallway and bedroom walls were painted in this color. The accent color is brick-colored walls in the hallway and kitchen.

Furniture

The furniture is modern, with subdued colors, maximally comfortable and functional. The sofa in the living room folds out and becomes a bed, equipped with an orthopedic spring mattress.

The wardrobes were custom-designed in Italy. The kitchen was from Berloni factory, ordered in Moscow from a dealer. The bar chairs were from Lem by La Palma. All other furniture except the kitchen was ordered directly from Italy.

Decoration and Textiles

The textiles are as simple as possible. Straight curtains in the color of the walls (darker on one side) and a simple champagne-colored sheer. In the kitchen, we also hung a white Roman blind.

Style

Clear straight lines and the absence of an abundance of decor items create a modern style atmosphere in the apartment.

The color palette consists of calm natural tones, mostly white, monochrome tone, warm pastel muted colors. This style usually suits modern, dynamic personalities, extroverts, and practical people.

Challenges

The project was quite simple, with no significant implementation difficulties.

Timeline

The project lasted 6 months.
