Project: Xiyuan Regency Vanke Sales Center in Zhengzhou
Xiyuan Regency Sales Center by Mind Design
Aesthetics Inspired by the Tang Dynasty
The sales center of the first district of 'Luoyang Vanke Chunhua Qiushi West Garden' is located in Luoyang, an ancient capital of China. Inspired by traditional Eastern culture and the unique aesthetics of the Tang Dynasty, MIND Design combines modern design to create a ceremonial lifestyle for the future.
This is the first project developed by Vanke in Luoyang, as well as a new study conducted jointly with the local developer Chunhua Qiushi Real Estate as an urban planner.
With a magnificent high ceiling as the entrance, MIND Design integrates Chinese elements such as mortise and tenon joints into a complex structure. The broad symmetry of Chinese architecture impresses visitors, while wooden beams of the metal framework support the grandeur of the complex. Unique Eastern concepts can be seen everywhere in the space, with scattered shadows from wooden columns and light filtering through windows. With a minimalist yet luxurious wall finish, the space exudes gentle tranquility.
Artistic Dialogue Between Time and Space
From the ancient capital of thirteen dynasties to a modern industrial city, and then to today's industrial renewal and new urban type, the cultural context of Luoyang has not been shaken but only people's lifestyle has changed. Under the guidance of the design concept 'fire civilization', MIND Design created a living scene where past meets present, traditions coexist with new trends. At the same time, the sales center has become a new business model.
Vanke collaborated with Yanjiyou bookstore to create an aesthetic space that combines social functions. This is the first bookstore as part of a sales center in Luoyang, and also an attempt at a multi-faceted business model. As a transition between the external commercial area and interior, the book bar uses a young and fashionable visual style that better suits urban aesthetics, which is an innovation of this project.
The meeting area adopts a modern, simplified but luxurious design to create a calm atmosphere. Details including wooden ceilings, translucent rice paper and dark floors remain Eastern elements, perfectly demonstrating the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture.
The combination of wide adhesive brick paint, dark ceilings and floors together with well-placed green plants reflects the artistic concepts of both Western and Eastern aesthetics, not only adding two design techniques but also creating a chemical reaction between two dimensions.
At the entrance to the staircase leading to the second floor, MIND Design created an internal micro-landscape. The floor made of black matte stone and light stone, together with 'Pier of Pine', presents a vivid image of Chinese ink painting. The spacious and bright hall is located on the staircase. Large wooden walls and ceilings connected with white adhesive brick paint make the space clean and flawless.
Different spaces have different forms and meanings, and for Luoyang's program, historical humanistic experience and intuitive feelings in aesthetics and art are the basis of design.
