Residential House on Hainerweg by JOP Architekten
The residential house on Hainerweg is a modern home located in Germany and designed by architects JOP Architekten. The architects were inspired by neighboring residential buildings with gabled roofs and created a sleek structure with a mansard roof facing the street. As a result, they achieved a simple archetypal house that harmoniously fits into the neighborhood yet stands out.
The open layout of the building and numerous terraces and balconies provide residents with diverse spaces for relaxation. The fusion of interior and exterior creates various types of rooms—from complex to simple. The wooden structure rises on a solid concrete foundation and features different colors and materials for interior and exterior.
The use of Sikalastic for the roof of the outer house creates a unified visual appearance with the walls, emphasizing the contrast with the wooden façade of the inner house.
The site is characterized by surrounding residential buildings with gabled roofs and a narrow plot area. This led to the concept of creating a sleek building with a mansard roof facing the street. The structure is presented in a simple form of an archetypal house.
The inner house meets the functional requirements of the project. In line with the principle 'house within a house,' it is covered by a traditionally designed outer house with a gabled roof.
The inner house was designed with an open layout and multiple terraces and balconies according to the client's wishes. The integration of interior and exterior creates various types of spaces. Complex and simple rooms alternate.
The interior and exterior houses differ in color and material. Both are built as wooden structures on a solid concrete foundation. The variation in construction and materials is clearly visible both inside and out, and was also considered in the design of the surrounding garden. The separation of the foundation through the elevation of the lower floor gives the building a floating appearance above the ground.
Product description. Using Sikalastic, we were able to create a roof cladding for the 'outer house' in the same style as the walls of the 'shell.' The contrast with the 'inner house,' featuring a wooden façade, is enhanced.
