Modern Cozy House for a Multi-Generational Farmer's Home

Situated among the green meadows of Chatarpur, Delhi, the Pool House by UrbanMistrii is an impressive 1800 square feet extension for a multi-generational farmer's home. Designed as a family sanctuary for twelve people, this prefabricated house combines relaxation, sustainability and architectural sophistication.

The vision was based on the principle of "doing more with less" — creating a modern and timeless space that harmoniously connects with the existing farmer's house and pool, fostering family unity.

Architecture in Dialogue with Nature

The Pool House blurs the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces. Its long, elegant form — clad in glass and metal — reflects the pool, greenery and main house, creating a harmonious interaction between built and natural environments.

UrbanMistrii used Lightweight Steel Frame (LSF) construction, minimizing environmental impact and reducing material and energy waste. This method preserved mature trees, enhanced structural strength, and supported the sustainable architectural concept.

The dramatic projecting roof, narrowing from 16 to 11 feet, enhances both form and functionality. Beyond its sculptural appeal, it facilitates rainwater collection, allowing the property's green landscape to thrive year-round.

Transformation by Day and Night

By day, the Pool House reflects the green nature, seamlessly integrating into the farmer's home landscape. At night it becomes a glowing beacon, with interior lighting from the glass façade creating an atmospheric focal point for family gatherings.

This duality — subtle during the day, striking at night — defines the unique character of the structure.

Interiors: Subtle Luxury

Inside, the design emphasizes restraint and comfort. The material palette — beige stone floors, light-textured walls, and wooden ceilings — creates a calm atmosphere.
