Hyatt Regency Koh Samui Inspires Recovery on Thai Island Koh Samui
KOH SAMUI, Thailand (July 5, 2021) — One of the most anticipated resorts in Thailand, Hyatt Regency Koh Samui, was unveiled today on Koh Samui.
As this tropical island prepares to resume operations for international tourists in the coming months, the opening marks a significant step toward recovery.
The property, which represents Hyatt's first move on Koh Samui, allows guests to discover timeless connections and an inspiring experience. It also plays a vital role in drawing tourists back to the island as Thailand reopens its doors to visitors.
"The pandemic was a challenging time for Koh Samui, as it was for Thailand's entire tourism industry. Therefore, we are delighted to present such a distinctive resort," said Adrian Pulido, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Koh Samui.

Collaboration between three leading names in Thai hospitality design — Office of Bangkok Architecture, August Design, and PLandscaping — the 140-room property occupies eight acres of private coastline in the northeastern corner of this paradise island.
Applying a cutting-edge design approach, the property located in Northern Chaweng — just under ten minutes from the island's international airport — markets itself as a "Gallery of Vacations" due to its array of visual attractions.
Among these are an outstanding lobby, the longest entrance hall on Koh Samui, where numerous skylights provide natural lighting from sun and moon. Other notable features include luxurious rooms with breathtaking ocean views, some of which overlook one of the largest pools on the island. The pool collection includes each descending from the main upper terrace pool to the beach.
The beauty of Koh Samui is legendary. The resort's appeal leverages the visual charm of coastal landscapes, protected forests, and ocean proximity. Another unique feature is the Gallery of Eight — a collection of eight spots throughout the property specifically chosen for their photogenic qualities.

The 140 guest rooms, including 24 spacious suites and villas, feature private balconies with most offering stunning sea views. Some rooms provide access to Regency Club privileges, and seven beachfront villas with pools offer a special treat. Culinary desires are fully satisfied across four restaurants and bars at the resort, including Yangna — a full-service restaurant offering Thai and international cuisine — and the open Sesun Grill & Beach Bar, where guests can enjoy fresh seafood and Mediterranean dishes with relaxing ocean views. Cobalt offers fresh juices, iced tea, and coffee, while Kube presents craft cocktails with mesmerizing views from the highest point on the resort.
The family-friendly resort features freeform pools — including a running, diving, family with whirlpool, and kids' pool with slide — that lead down to the beach. At Camp Hyatt, young guests can enjoy supervised play and activities ranging from art to night movies.
Lush tropical plants surround the majestic staircase leading to the spa area — a cozy sanctuary with five treatment rooms, including two suites with private terraces and outdoor pools.
The property offers inspiring indoor and outdoor venues for meetings, large or small. The elegant Regency Ballroom can accommodate up to 100 guests or 150 for cocktails. The 97-square-meter manicured lawn creates a magical atmosphere for wedding ceremonies and outdoor events.
"This island plays a central role in how Thailand deals with the aftermath of the pandemic, and it's an honor to be a leader at the start of this positive path forward," added Pulido.
