HOW TO MAKE A DECORATIVE CHRISTMAS TREE FROM MOSS
When there isn't enough space in the house to display all Christmas decorations, you need to get creative. Of course, a Christmas tree is the star and the most spacious decoration. That's why choosing miniature Christmas trees like the one shown here, or small original fabric trees that can be hung on the wall, is a smart decision.
Although this activity is quite simple and inexpensive, you'll need special materials that you probably don't have at home. However, don't panic; these items are cheap and easy to find.
PinterestWhy not give it a try? This can also be a great opportunity to spend time with family and let children feel ownership of the Christmas decorations at home. As we often say, using your hands for activities other than typing on a computer or scrolling through smartphones and tablets is a good way to reduce work stress, oxygenate the brain, and promote creativity.
If you're not yet in the holiday mood, decorate your home with affordable and beautiful accents like these small Christmas trees.
PinterestSTEP 1
You will need a dried sponge flower as the base. It needs to be cut and shaped into a conical form, since it comes in block shape.
STEP 2
Secondly, natural moss is required. Buy it in advance and let it dry.
STEP 3
You don't need to pre-moisten the preserved moss.
STEP 4
Wrap the cone with moss. Start at the top and gradually go down. You don't have to cover the entire cone with one piece of moss or use large leaves.
STEP 5
Use ribbons with bows to secure the moss and prevent it from falling off. This will keep it in place. You can also make your own pins from green garden wire.
STEP 6
Secure the moss with pins as needed to ensure all parts are firmly fixed.
STEP 7
The star should be at the top of each tree, so we'll do this next. The decoration must have a skewer or wire to attach it to the tree.
STEP 8
The final step is creating a base for our tree. You can use a log or a piece of wood.
STEP 9
Use silicone to attach it to the base. Optionally, you can decorate it with a pineapple.
FINISHED
Now you can decorate yourself for Christmas to look like a tree. Just brush it with lacquer for long-term durability.
