Hotels in France with frescoes on all sides
Under the influence of the creative impulse of a new generation of artists and painters, frescoes are returning to the decorations of trendy hotels and restaurants, offering them an unprecedented aesthetic depth. Monumental works on facades, ceilings adorned with a variety of colors and walls hung with charismatic silhouettes—these impressive works have left museums, ancient temples and famous chapels to leave their mark and enrich the artistic identity of contemporary addresses. From Saint-Tropez to Paris, via Marseille and Ossau—take a look at this new ornamental phenomenon that Jean Cocteau and his colleagues would probably not have denied.
Studio Mural Fresco in the Tuba Hotel

This was a tidal wave in the Mediterranean. Its name? Snorkel. Fully redesigned by architect Marielle Maillander from Marseille, this former diving school located on a cliff whose feet go into the Goudes water became the most attractive spot of the summer season. In addition to its stunning view, the place offers a large figurative fresco. Historian, curator and artist Emmanuel Luciani turned to his collective Southway Studio to create "La Venus & ses Boys". Almost achronistic interior, remaining magnetic.
Elise Blondet Fresco in the Orgueil Restaurant

As the restaurant decoration of Orgueil, proposed by new management chef Eloi Spinnler, the architectural duo of Delphine Versace and Virginia Friedmann evokes a strong desire to combine materials and promote exceptional craftsmanship, a subtle sense of dialogue between influences and eras. If the floor is treated in the terrace, and walls covered with wooden cladding, ceilings lacquered or decorated with ornamental frescoes by artist Elise Blondet. Through these symbolist illustrations from Bestiary, Pride dares to figure on the ceiling.
Carolin Hogenhuer Fresco in the Hôtel des Lices

Under the guidance of the golden age of the French Riviera, interior designer David Granata and his agency Oreka Architecture gave a new look to the Hôtel des Lices in Saint-Tropez. Terracotta floors, wide striped loungers, sunny colors and natural materials, a bar covered with geometric ceramics and hand-painted fresco by artist Carolin Hogenhuer from Saint-Tropez, combine in this renovated Provençal house. A few steps from the port, palms and sea decorate the reception walls in contrast to precision.
